How to Download Microsoft Wi-Fi Direct Virtual Adapter for Windows 11/10/8/7

What I am observing is that when Miracast receiver (Microsoft Connect App) is launched it activates one Wi-Fi Direct Virtual Adapter and runs properly. But as soon as I start mobile hotspot also then this virtual adapter is acquired by hotspot feature and miracast gets forced closed.

Hi LimitlessTechnology, Yes, as both technologies are using same resource (which is basically a Virtual WiFi Adapter) so my thinking was if I add 1 more WiFi adapter then we may get 2 resources(virtual adapter) in system, one for each technology. Is this assumption incorrect?

This workaround should work in most cases with older devices that are not fully compatible with the Microsoft Wi-Fi Direct Virtual Adapter. The only caveat is that disabling the virtual adapter will also disable the mobile hotspot feature built-in Windows 10.
